Plotlume Terms of Use
Effective date: September 17, 2026
Plotlume is operated by Yutong Guo (郭雨桐), an individual developer ("we", "us"). Contact: 18804061237@163.com.
By using Plotlume you agree to these terms. Your license to use the app itself is governed by the Apple Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms add the rules for our reading service.
The service
Plotlume provides complete English short stories for personal reading. You can browse the published library and read previews. Reading the full stories requires an active membership. The titles available may change over time. We do not promise a fixed release schedule or a set number of new stories.
Your account
You must be at least 18 years old to use Plotlume.
Use accurate information for your account and keep your sign-in methods secure. Never share your verification codes. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. Contact us if you think someone else has accessed it.
Monthly membership
- Plotlume Monthly Membership is an auto-renewable subscription purchased through Apple In-App Purchase. It lasts 1 month and renews every month.
- The price and currency are shown before you confirm the purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm.
- Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in Account → Membership → Manage subscription, or in your Apple Account subscription settings. If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
- A trial period applies only if Apple's purchase screen shows one.
- Membership gives you access to the published library while it is active. It does not give you ownership of any story. Stories published while your membership is active are included.
- Signing out, deleting the app or deleting your Plotlume account does not cancel your subscription.
- Use Restore purchases to reconnect an existing subscription. Restoring does not move a purchase that is linked to a different Plotlume account without verification.
Apple handles billing and refunds. To request a refund, visit Apple billing support. Nothing in these terms limits any consumer rights you have under the law where you live.
Stories and permitted use
Stories, covers and other material in Plotlume are protected by copyright and other laws. You may read them in Plotlume for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, share, publish, sell or otherwise distribute them, or try to get around access controls, unless we give you permission or the law allows it.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse Plotlume. For example, do not interfere with or overload the service, try to access other people's accounts or data, scrape content, or use the service for anything unlawful. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. If we close your account while you have an active subscription through no fault of your own, contact Apple for a refund of the unused period and we will support that request.
Changes to the service and these terms
We may update Plotlume, add or remove stories, or change features, for example to fix problems or respond to rights issues. If we make a material change to these terms, we will tell you in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you do not agree, you can cancel your subscription and stop using Plotlume.
If we decide to stop offering Plotlume, we will give at least 30 days' notice in the app, stop new subscription sales, and help you cancel your subscription.
Account deletion
Open Account → Delete account to delete your account. This removes your account and synced reading data as described in the Privacy Policy. It does not cancel your Apple subscription, and restoring a purchase later does not bring back deleted reading records.
Disclaimer
We work to keep Plotlume available and accurate, but the service may sometimes be unavailable or contain errors. To the extent the law allows, Plotlume is provided "as is". We do not exclude or limit any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you.
Questions and disputes
If you have a problem with Plotlume, email 18804061237@163.com first. We will try to resolve it with you directly. These terms do not take away your right to use the consumer protection laws, complaint procedures or courts available where you live.
